I used to train people and the best advice I can give you is, if it is processed don't eat it. This is hard because eating foods that are not processed or out of a package is convenient. It may be time consuming when it comes to preparation but fresh is best. Eat 5-6 small well balanced meals a day, and lots of water!!! I can't stress that enough, one glass every hour. You should always have a bottle of water with you. As far as snacks go, almonds are great. This is not easy at first but well worth it, because the feeling you will have when the weight starts coming off is awesome. Don't give up, if you are feeling pain about how you look use that to drive you, pain is a great motivator.
