Maintaining a healthy weight will not only be beneficial to you, but also to your baby. It will also help to avoid certain illnesses related to pregnancy, such as gestational diabetes.

How Much Weight Should Be Gained During Pregnancy?

An average-weight woman should gain between 25 and 35 pounds throughout the entire pregnancy. Overweight Women should aim to gain a little less - about 15 pounds, and underweight women should aim for a little more - about 35-45 pounds.

Pregnant women expecting multiples will probably gain more weight than those carrying only one baby.

How Should the Weight Be Gained?

The term "eating for two" is misleading, and unhealthy. Despite the fact that there is another human growing inside of you, you do not require twice the amount of food you once did prior to being pregnant. Does anyone know the real reason why Japanese women are usually thinner than the average western woman?

I've heard that it's just because of genes that Japanese people are generally petite and don't tend to put on a lot of weight. But surely that can't be the only reason for such a dramatic difference between the average weight of UK women and Japanese women? ...Or is it? siiigh, japanese girls are so lucky

It's not just Japanese women. Other Asian girls are as slim as Japanese.

If there is other reason, it would be food. Japanese food does not contain much calories. Some Japanese get fat after they go to US or Europe.

Should I wear a mini-skirt ... (I don't have nice legs)?

I am 150 lbs., at 5'6" and I am 19 years old. All my clothes are black and I wear a classic/punk look and I'd like to wear a mini-skirt but the last time I did, crowds around me seemed to turn and stare, maybe it was the tights (they were bright blue)?

I bought a short black mini-skirt, and black leggings. I have really cute black suede boots that are knee-high but my legs aren't exactly thin, I carry most of my weight in my legs -- I have a flat stomach and average sized arms.

Is it really un-attractive to see a woman wearing a short skirt if her legs aren't exactly lean and long, or is it alright? I would wear black tights with the skirt and black knee-high boots...

HELP! I don't want to look stupid.

i wouldn't recommend wearing a mini skirt but if you have confidence, you can pull anything off! =]
