Hello, I'm going to be moving into a building that has it's own gym and pool, and I really want to start working out more and getting into better shape. I'm 18, female, I'm 5'5'' and around 130 lbs. I know I'm not overweight by any means but I've lived a sedentary lifestyle for far too long and I want to be able to be a strong, fit young woman. I've worked with a few pieces of gym equipment before but nothing really serious. I want to do a little of everything, but the things I want most are to lose some body fat in my thighs and stomach and to also strengthen my arms and gain more flexibility. I just want to figure out:
1. what exercises are best to start out with
2. how many I should do in one session
3. how many sessions I should per week
4. length of work out sessions
Any advice would be appreciated!
