If you have cellulite and you want to find a way of treating it then, there is a natural way of helping to reduce it. Taking regular cardio exercises can help reduce the appearance of cellulite because running and swimming helps to burn fat as well as strengthen and tone the muscles. As cellulite forms on the top of muscles cardio exercises can reduce the formation of fat that helps to minimise its appearance.
The following are popular cardiovascular exercises that you can try out:
Swimming
Swimming is a very effective exercise to get fit and tone the body. It is also low impact as your body is being supported by the water. Swimming targets all the areas were cellulite likes to appear in particular, the legs and thighs. To get the most out of swimming make sure you master the technique properly. For example, if you are doing the free style make sure your arms and legs are paddling together and keep your head level in the water and only come up for air every few strokes.
Aerobic Exercises
Aerobics is a great form of cardiovascular exercise as it really gets your heart pumping. It exercises and targets your buttocks and thighs were cellulite commonly appears. You can either do this by taking part in classes at your local gym or you can do it in the comfort and privacy of your own home. Aerobics mostly consists of jumping, stepping, squats and lunges. If you're doing it at home try it with a good instructional DVD to get you started and you may need a few aerobic equipment such as a Swiss ball and an exercise step.
Lifting Weights
It is a good idea to combine a weight training routine with your cardio exercises, as lifting weights will help to tighten and tone your arm and leg muscles. The weight training exercises you should focus on are the leg squats as they will help to build up your thigh muscles which will help to iron out those cellulite dimples.
Power Walking
One of the easiest and most underrated forms of cardiovascular exercise is walking. When I say walking I do not mean a gentle stroll in the park, what you want to do is a brisk walk for about 15 to 20 minutes a day. You want to be out of breath and perspiring. Start of gently 3 to 4 times a week and gradually build the distance or time as you feel comfortable. Try alternative routes so you won't get bored.

Cardio Exercises For Women Questions
Has anyone used the Firm's Wave? I'm wondering if it is safe for a pregnant woman?
I am 5 months pregnant and in good shape already but I've been wanting to try it. I intend to do the leg and cardio exercises but skip the ab exercises until after the baby comes. I'm hoping for replies from people who are familiar enough with the wave to tell me if they think a pregnant woman can do it. Oh and just a side note, my doctor said go for it when it comes to exercising, I'm not high risk or anything.
My baby came out fine. He's very healthy, no issues except he has an extra ear on his forehead.
Exercise dilemma..So much I can't do. What CAN I do?
Okay, I am an obese older woman that is seriously trying to lose about 95 pounds in a year. Everyone says that I have to exercise, but I have many many reasons that I can't.
In fact, the only thing I can do is to walk. My area is very hilly so at least half of my walking will be uphill.
I can't do cardio because I can't disturb the downstairs neighbors and anyway it is boring and I won't keep up with it.
I am interested in minor resistance exercise with weights but currently am too broke to buy them. It will be 2 months until I am solvent again so that is out for now.
I don't have a DVD player, so that's out.
And to top it off I am socially phobic, so absolutely no gym. At least not until I have lost 65 pounds.
At that point I will have the money and the nerve.
Another thing is that if I get down on the floor it takes 2 people to help me up and I live alone.
Is there anything I CAN do?
don't worry too much about exercise at this present time with all those problems so just concentrate on reducing your overall calorie consumption every day to lose these pounds relatively fast - if you were to limit them to 1500, 6 days a week and then to reset your slowed down adapted metabolism just have a higher calorie day to speed it up again and to stop it hanging on to your calories -
try and eat at least 5 times per day at regular intervals BUT keep the total level around the 1500 mark -weight loss will happen, week in,week out, then as the pounds keep dropping - begin walking up halfway on those hills and back down again, around 3 times a day should do the trick...
