Bulk Up Fast With This Delicious Protein Shake Recipe

How many times have you tried to gain weight and increase the size of your muscles but achieved less than optimal results? For several years I had the exact same problem. Fortunately, I found a great solution that I am happy to share with you: weight gainer protein shakes.

The philosophy behind gaining weight and building muscle is simple, and it involves three key points

Point 1: consume more calories than you burn

Point 2: make sure that as many of these calories as possible come from protein rich foods

Point 3: hit the gym and lift heavy

Now, how do you make sure that you consume more calories than you burn at the gym? This is where weight gainer protein shakes come into play. Weight gainer protein shakes can pack so many calories that it would be nearly impossible for you to burn this many calories in a normal workout. Protein shakes are a great supplement to your diet for many nutritional reasons, but most importantly, because they are not as filling as a meal of solid food with the same number of calories.

So, what should I put in my weight gainer protein shakes you might be asking yourself. Because I'm a nice guy, I've decided to share the weight gainer protein shake recipes that I use when I am trying to bulk up fast. These protein recipes were developed with a great deal of trial and error, and they really do work and taste great as well.

Recipe 1

Delicious Peanut Butter & Chocolate Weight Gainer Protein Shake

1 ½ cups whole milk

2 table spoons peanut butter

1 scoop chocolate ice cream

2 scoops chocolate protein powder

Calories: 645 Protein: 47 g Fat: 37 g

To decrease the fat per serving, switch out the ice cream for frozen or regular yogurt. You can further reduce the fat calories by substituting more protein powder instead of the peanut butter.

All nutrition facts in this recipe are approximations and are based on a single serving of whey protein.

I need some weight gainer recipes?

I dont want to get the premade weight gainers, i read that the huge amounds of sugars is not good vs homemade gainer shakes. But yes, im trying to get in calories and i could use a shake in my diet. So i got some whey protein (chocolate). What could I do with this? I made my first one.
2 scoops whey (300 calories) 52 grams protein
2 cups whole milk (320 calories) 16 grams protein
2 tbsp peanut butter (200 calories) 6 grams protein

820 calories, 74 grams protein
Is this too much protein for one shake? I don't know much about digestion but isn't there an amount you can eat before the rest just gets unused in one meal?

Remember this is my first shake. I think i could use one scoop less whey which would give me 2 times more shakes, maybe add some fruits or flax oil in there?

I am with you , I like to make my own gainer shakes as well, but that probably is a little too much protein at once (unless you are 290lbs:) Cut your whey protein down to 25 grams or so, but yeah that is a great looking gainer shake, also make sure to mix in whole food proteins as well. Whey protein is a naturally complete protein, meaning that it contains all of the essential amino acids required in the daily diet. It has the ideal combination of amino acids to help improve body composition and enhance athletic performance.
Whey protein is a rich source of branched chain amino acids (BCAAs), containing the highest known levels of any natural food source. Hey, I'm 12 years old, 5 3" tall and i weigh 115 pounds, I'm really over weight and it always brings me down, so i wanted to know any diets or fitness plans that i could do with out joining any clubs or buying any shakes or pills, I'm ok at cooking so recipes wouldn't be a problem, i really want lose 25 lbs by october/ november, i tried bulimia a while ago but it made me feel depressed and sad all the time, i lost 28 lbs but when i stopped i put most of it back on... so anything would be great, please help i really want to lose this weight.

Firstly, THANK YOU for stopping the bulimic habits. I am glad that you realised it got you nowhere except for getting you down.
Also, at 12 years old, please please do not start consuming diet pills. Realise that they can severely impact your state of health and in the long run you may suffer because of them.
Would you consider seeing a naturopath or nutritionist to help you with getting things going for yourself?
There is plenty of advice from the diet side of things but it depends what you are consuming at the moment, your eating habits, what you are eating, and even more importantly, what you ARE NOT eating.
Remember to eat when you are hungry, do not starve yourself. When you are hungry remember to make a healthy choice with your food. Making healthy choices does NOT mean not eating. It means eat, BY ALL MEANS, but learn to make educated dietary choices.
You can start by choosing wholefoods instead of food products (eg: Organic rolled oats with fruit and yogurt Vs. Boxed cereal + milk for b/fast)
You can snack on things like nuts and seeds, cans of fish with avocado on bread, yogurts, vegetable sticks and dips (hummus, tzaziki, eggplant dip, beetroot dip, pesto)
You can also choose to eat wholegrains rather than refined carbs, for example, instead of eating white rice, choose wholegrain brown rice, it will make you fuller for longer, its delicious and nutritious!
Increase your protein intake, eat good lean meats. Alternate between fish, chicken, beef, lamb and pork depending on your taste. Do not deprive yourself of protein! This food group will also help you with weight loss..
Good luck with everything, remember, healthy choices! Not starvation!
