How much extra weight will you gain along with muscle?

Assuming someone is on a constant workout schedule, eating a relatively healthy diet and gaining about a pound of muscle every two weeks, how much additional weight in the form of body mass that is not muscle will they gain in addition to the muscle? All I know is that with muscle gain the body must also gain weight in the form of water and other chemicals to keep up with the additional mass, but how much?

So if a man were to gain 12 pounds of muscle over 6 months, how much total weight would he have gained?

I'm going gym and trying to eat healthy, but sometimes i still pick at the junk food i have at home, it's really frustrating because i want to be able to lose weight, but at the moment my progress is going really slow and it's annoying. I am a 21 yr old guy and i have man boobs, and i have a layer of fat on my stomach and love handles. I hate it because i was never this size, but then i had an operation on my knee, was on crutches for a long time and i started eating, and piling on the pounds. I don't seem to be making any progress although i have been eating as healthy as i can, i eat 4/5 times a day, but because i don't have a job i can't buy lots of healthy food so i make do. I have fat underneath my armpits, at the side of my man boobs and it's horrible because i sweat easily because of that fat. I'm not a huge fat guy, i only weigh 220lbs, but it's mostly fat and a little muscle.

Well get out there and do more exercise! Get a bike or go for walks in this beautiful weather! If you are not losing weight its because you aren't burning enough calories. So you need to either up the exercise you do or change it and eat less or eat healthier.
