After losing a lot of weight, how do you get rid of the extra loose skin?
Since May 2004, I've lost almost 270 pounds and quite literally become half the man. Unfortunately, because of this dramatic weight-loss, I have a lot of extra skin (particularly around my abdomen and buttocks). Is there a way to lessen the amount of loose skin other than going through surgery? I'm only 21 years old and I've been told many times that because I'm young, my skin will tighten up by itself. Is this true, or do I need to do an extensive amount of exercise? I have considered getting corrective plastic surgery, but I cannot afford it, nor do I want to risk my life by unnecessarily putting myself through major surgery. Help!

I'm on a mission to lose a tiny bit more weight to make my abs more visible than they actually are therefore it's a weight loss programme. I eat healthy and exercise but the problem is that I tend to go out drinking alot and a pint of lager can consist of between 150-250 calories a pint which in itself defeats the object. I can go without alcohol and still have a good time at bars/pubs/nightclubs so alcohol isn't a major factor. It's just a "cool" factor with me. What alternative drinks can I have that won't allow me to put on weight (ie, beer belly that alot of men get in their late 20s, early 30s) or rot my teeth (ie, smirnoff ice, WKD?) I tend to go out drinking alot, therefore it will affect my health.... eventually.
I'm no longer bothered about the "cool" image. My health and my appearance means alot more to me.
the fact that you say that alcohol isn't a major factor and you can go without suggests that you could easily go out and just drink juice or even non alcoholic cocktails and still have a good night.unfortunately,as good as a few(or 20)pints of beer is on a night out,you need to weigh up whats more important-the image or the health and weight loss.you could always just have pints of blackcurrant juice and tell people its snakebite.
