Why isnt the front row substitution law ever abused?

If i am not mistaken front rowers are allowed to come back on the field once they have been subbed off. Why dont front rowers ever switch every 10 minutes or so?

Only if another front-rower has been injured. Because the front row of the scrum is considered an especially dangerous situation, only players who are trained to play in those positions are allowed to do so. Therefore if a prop or hooker is substituted for during a game, they can only return if their substitute is injured. Obviously they cannot then be replaced (again) by the previously "injured" player.

In effect, you could only get away with this once in a game. And it is watched closely because the potential for abuse is so obvious. If the coaches of a particular team start to abuse this rule then there is an inevitable investigation, followed by a disciplinary hearing and sanctions.

What has been abused is the uncontested scrum rule. Teams with weak scrums would seem to have their props go down with suspicious regularity. Once they were unable to put enough trained players in the front row, scrums would become uncontested, which meant that however weak your scrum might be, you would still get a good attacking platform half the time.

This problem has been dealt with by allowing teams to dress an extra (23rd) player. Three of the eight substitues must be front-rowers. If a team still finds themselves short of front-rowers, the ref will still go to uncontested scrums.

But that would be very unusually -- with a standard set of substitutes (one hooker and two props) for a 23 man squad, both hookers or three of your four props would have to go down. And should that happen, the team with the "injuries" is also penalized by having to play the rest of the game a man down. This keeps them honest.

Is there a difference in how air rowers and magnetic rowers feel?

I'm looking to buy a rowing machine for home, as I row at university, and was wondering what the difference between the different rowers was, I've used air rowers before and was just wondering if magnetic rowers felt as accurate?
For examples, I'm looking at the v fit innsbruck 2 air rower and the york R201 air rower, but then I've also seen the york aspire magnetic rower for a similar price.
