I lift weights and want to find a recovery drink used only for recovery, not a protein shake. Any suggestions?

I understand that people are quick to recommend protein shakes as a post-workout supplement, but I have seen advertisements for drinks like Endurox R4 that are used to rebuild muscle and rehydrate at the same time. What do you mean "recovery drink"? If you mean drinks that actually claim they are for recovery, those are complete junk, and if you look at the ingredients you will most likely find over 15 ingredients that are very harmful to the body over a long period of time.

Different areas of your body can be recovered after a workout. Glycogen (excess sugar) storages in the muscles and liver used up for quick energy during the workout can be recovered by consuming carbohydrates.

Preferably carbohydrates with a high Glycemic Index and Glycemic Load to put you in an optimal anabolic (muscle-building state). Muscle fibers are torn down during workouts, and muscle needs to be rebuilt (recovered), which is why a source of fast-digesting protein is optimal post-workout. Your body needs to be rehydrated (recovery) after a workout. So what specific foods/supplements?
