is this a good plan to lose weight for my wedding??????
ok so i am going to replace breakfast with a protein shake after i work out of course. (running, the firm video). i plan to eat a low carb lunch that will consist of veggie and maybe a fruit. then for dinner i will drink a protein shake after i lift weight. is this a good plan or do i have it wrong. any advice would be great. i am getting married in Feb. and really need to slim down. i want to lose weight kinda slowly so the weight will stay off. please give any advice you can.
I applaud you wanting to lose it slowly.. my wife has done FIRM and looks awesome.. she had 3 kids and is pre-preg weight... only lose the weight if you are going to keep it off... you do have to change your lifestyle.. portion control & exercise...
P90X Questions Please Help Me!!?
Ok so I WILL start doing p90x soon okey but I have some questions
1. I am 17 will that really be an issue?
2. I have been going to the gym in the last years but it hasn't helped at all.... I'm still fat... will p90x really help cuz all the videos that I find are from skinny people to ripped not from fat to ripped
3. I have my own nutricionist who has helped me in these months. Right now I'm eating 2650 calories per day. Do I need to tell her to please raise this number or am I alright
4. What happens if I skip some days cuz I go in a trip or something?
5. If I have the bands do I need to buy the weights
6. Do I need to buy those protein shakes or something?
Here're my answers:
1) No, I mean most, if not all of your changes have occured by now. It's good you're starting now because your body is actually building muscle at that age.
2) I don't know if you read the stuff that came along with it, but they did say if you're fat, you won't be the ripped guy you want to be like the one in the cover. They say it will take longer for you to get there, so you should follow their nutritional advice to be sure your caloric intake is less so you lose weight. I'm not skinny either, but I've lost considerable amounts of weight through my modified version of the program and I actually have a more defined mid-section now thanks to ab-ripper X. My arms and back are also more defined now. It's the workout plus a proper diet that will eventually get you to that body that they claim, albeit longer.
3) I don't know your height and weight and how active you are. I've done my own research for my 5'11' frame and (then) 190lb. body. My caloric intake was only for 1,624 a day. I think you will have to cut down yours if you want to lose weight, but like I said, I don't know your weight, height, etc. E-mail me if you trust me enough to give you your daily caloric intake.
4) As I said, I do a modified version of the program - that is, I don't go with their work outs day by day because I do not have their equipment at home nor can I go to the gym as often as I would need to. However, I did take the concept of their workouts and detailed them under "do-able workouts in the gym" and "modified workouts for the gym." I also don't do plyo because of my weak knees, so I don't follow it at all, you can say. So I'm pretty sure if you skip some days, if you are a religious follower, you just have to push your final date further to accomodate that loss.
5) Weights are a good investment whenever. Buy some; plus, the bands won't offer the same tension because they will only put pressure one way. Buy maybe 25lb/30lb dumbbells.
6) No, that's the way they get MORE money from people. You can eat healthily without P90X branded foods.
