How to Achieve Healthy Weight Loss With the Benefits of Soy

We all know how important protein is to any diet, whether you are trying to achieve a healthy weight loss or not. Certain fad diets tell people its OK to go out and eat as much greasy bacon as you want, as long as you stay away from those killer carbohydrates. As you probably have already figured out, this type of diet does not work. The main reason is that the source of protein comes from animal fats, and eating too much of it will take its toll on your health.

Be very thankful that we have soy in our world. It is the healthy alternative to animal protein for many many reasons. The incorporation of even just a small amount of soy protein into the diet every day is beneficial in the prevention of all kinds of diseases. What does that have to do with losing weight? Everything!

The key to healthy weight loss is proper nutrition. Once your body is healthy on a daily basis, it can perform miracles. Living a healthy lifestyle means choosing soy over bacon when you want to give your body protein fuel. When you feed your body the right way, you will get the results you want.

Soy contains more protein than milk without the saturated fat or cholesterol. Soya beans are the only beans to be considered a complete protein because they contain all eight essential amino acids. Soy protein contains high levels of a substance called Tyrosine, which helps to maintain our alertness and mental energy without the need for excess calories.

Soy is a low-glycemic index food which helps regulate blood-sugar and insulin fluctuations. This helps you to feel more satisfied and less hungry until your next meal, which is beneficial for weight management and control. Some studies even indicate that soy may stimulate the metabolism! How cool is that!

Soy also helps reduce the amount of fat that is stored in your body by converting fewer calories into fat from the food that you consume. (OK, fruit usually doesn't need a wrapper, but you get my point.

Since fad diets, unbalanced diets, diet pills, diet supplements, weight loss surgery and other short term weight loss methods are the cheaters way to lose weight, why bother? Cheaters never prosper and there is no substitute for proper nutrition. Take advantage of the many benefits soy can give to you and you will soon find yourself living the kind of life you deserve.

Weight loss and shakes?

I want to lose some weight quickly. I know there are NO miracle diets out there, I just know I can control my calories better by using weight loss/protein soy shakes. Plus, sometimes I dont have time to eat. I am a stay at home Mom so sometimes its hard to find proper "meals" to eat on short notice. And I know skipping meals is unhealthy as well and no good for weight loss. I know I need to also burn calories so my daughter and I go on walks, I take her to the park and when she's sleeping I work on toning.
With all that said and done, are there any shakes, bars or mini-meals anyone reccommends ( and when I mean mini meals, it has to be something quick and easy)... And can I add things like fruit, peanut butter or anything else to the shakes? How many a day, and what do I eat inbetween. Oohh, and should I have 1200 calories or 2000 like my Mother says?

as far as calorie intake goes, what ever you want your ideal waight to be add a 0. so on a 2000 calorie diet you would level off at 200 lbs at 1200 calorie you would level off around 120 lbs.. get it? as far as the shakes go.... here is the thing, people and i mean it seems like everyone is loosing grip on reality when it comes to wieght loss. diets are to the point of making me mad, most do more harm than good. see what you eat is not near as important as how you use it. here is a fact, and remmeber this because as i just said it is fact. there is only one thing that burns fat...only one....it's called muscle. thats is fact. even cardio, yep your heart is a muscle.. and your body when hungry will first burn muscle first if it is not in use... so dieting without excersise is a step back wards. seriously.. and i have heard "but i dont want to be a muscle women/man" i'll tell you what when you start to look that way back off, i''ll garantee by then you will be skinniy. And its not hard seriously, just focus on using muscles, and you'll start loosing inches. i say inches because muscle wieghts more than fat, so initiallly you may gain wieght, but loose inches, and that is something to get excited about. Because that means you have more fat buring potential. and the inchest will go faster. Eventually you will balence out and the wieght will drop. Why do you think it was easier when you were younger?, it's not age, it's strength.
It can be anything lift your hands over your head till your arms are tired. hold your leg out straight till its tired, press on the wall, stand on your toes... these are things you can do anywhere anytime that will help strengthin your body..and ultimately make you loose wieght.. Trust me its fact. the problem is society is lazy, new inventions make life easier and easier, thats why as a whole we are getting fat because life is requiring less strength.

Whey protein vs Soy protein?

Which is better for a good protein rich diet? I would like to add a daily protein shake. My problem with whey protein is its high cholesterol content. Soy proteins tend to have high sodium levels.

Any ideas for good protein shakes I can buy in healthfood stores?

It depends on what you're trying to do, but whey protein is A LOT more helpful while trying to build muscle because of its fast absorbing properties. Don't worry about the cholesterol content in whey protein as dietary cholesterol has little to do with your blood cholesterol.
