Diets, out of all the diets out there, which have you tried and been successful at?
Meal replacement shakes, diet pills, acai pills, calorie counting, herbal remedies, Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, etc? I would like to know from real people and not just the testimonials on the advertising of these products.
I understand that healthy eating and regular exercise is the best but I am just curious as to if those diets really work.
My goal was a weight number. I am currently three lbs over that goal. I also set the goal of running a pretty grueling mountain marathon. I have never done anything like that before. I missed my target time in the trail race by 13 minutes. Everyone said it is a great time and I can't wait to run again in September to improve it.
While the exercising has been great without question I achieved my results by changing my diet. Almost no prepackaged foods. That cuts out tons of hidden sugar and salt. No fast food. Tons of fresh fruit, vegetables and raw nuts. Lean beef, chicken, pork, lots of beans and brown rice. Iced green tea with a shot of fresh orange or lemon juice. No more full glasses of fruit juice. Almost as much sugar as soda. I focused on lots of fiber.
Now I get to eat my splurge meals on a regular basis. Mine is a chicken fried steak with home fries. What is most amazing is after cutting back on the sugar and salt, simple foods taste really good. I can hardly eat anything I used to. Too greasy and too heavy.
The only pills I take are a basic multivitamin, a fish oil capsule (I hate fish), a 1/4 aspirin, and a calcium supplement. No more pain meds, acid relievers, or allergy pills. I think I started my own health care plan.

Plus it really helps keep the digestive system clean and regular.
Your choice. A healthy diet high in fiber or a healthy diet plus the drug.
I guess I am saying no "diet pill" is worth it but at least Alli is approved.

I know the commercials and the entire thing in itself is perverted almost, but i want honest answers, is it worth buying and trying out, i want to know from people who actually used it, cuz you can never tell if its the company that's writing testimonials about the product or if it's actual customers.
I would say no. You could do the same exercises with a water bottle that is 3/4 full of water.
