Everyone wants to lose some fat from around their waist. It's a trouble spot for men and women both, and the smaller it gets, the better clothes sit on you, the hotter you look on the beach, the more attractive you are, not to mention that having too much waist fat can signal health risks.
One of the way to reduce waist size is to use specific and targeted waist toning exercises. In this article I'll describe 3 of them for your benefit.
Exercise #1 - Medicine Ball sidways Twist
To do this exercise you need a to have medicine ball. You sit on the floor or mat or stand and hold the medicine ball straight in front of you with both hands. Now, you twist your torso to one side while holding the ball with outstretched hands in front of you (the ball is always straight in front of your eyes even when you twist). You do a few reps of this exercise for both sides of the waist.
Note: You can do a combined killer exercise by doing a lunge and then twisting with a medicine ball, one leg and a twist to one side after the other. This burns a lot of fat.
Exercise #2 - Sideways Torso Bends
You begin this exercise by standing with both feet slightly apart and one hand holding the side of your waist. Now, you gradually bend your torso to the side with your free arm showing the way by going over your head. Make sure not to sway your hips or raise your feet from the floor. Do this for both sides and repeat several times.
Exercise #3 - Sideways crunch
This exercise starts like a regular sit up, but instead of going straight up, you raise your body to one side, lower yourself down slowly, and they raise yourself towards the other side. This works the oblique abs muscles which are related to the appearance of the waist.
By doing these 3 exercises for a smaller waist, you will lose inches from around your waist and look much fitter and sexier.

How to tone up thighs - for women?
I'm looking for exercises that specifically tone up the thighs. I never seem to have any trouble with any other part of my body...
I already run everyday, so I'm looking for some leg exercises to mix into my routine. Any suggestions? Also, please explain how to perform each exercise you suggest. I have access to free weights, but not exercise machines.

Suggestions for fitness regime?
Ok, so I'm looking to lose weight and tone up, (legs and stomach especially) however not looking to become miss muscle woman - just to tighten up and slim down. Can anyone suggest good exercises, with this massive ball thing Ive just bought (i love bouncing on it!) and recommend how many miles would be good to ride an exercise bike and then at what rate should I increase the amount of miles I go etc etc.
Any other exercises you have found good, would be welcome also!
When I'm exercising, it's usually to burn excess calories more than strengthening or anything, so I recommend about 2 to 3 miles of brisk walking or cycling about 10 to 20 miles at about 5 to 7 mph. If you're looking to lose weight, don't forget to watch your calorie intake... keeping that around 2000 calories, or less, is vital to losing weight. The reason is that, more often than not, people will start exercising only to find their appetite increases as well. This is where vegetables and whole grains and fruits will help. They fill you up without filling you out.
