Weight Chart Overweight Questions
34" waist but a size 8 - what's up with me?
So I have always had a disproportionately large belly. I definitely store ALL of my weight there. I am not overweight; I'm about 127 pounds and 5'1". However, my waist (natural waist, narrowest part - I have tried it every way so I know I'm doing it right and I've even had other people do it) is 34"!
I buy all of my pants at Limited or Gap. At each store, I'm a size 8. However, according to their size charts, I should be a 14-16!!!!!! The pants definitely fit; I bought a few pairs of size 10 after I had my baby and as soon as the weight came off the pants fall down if I walk like 5 steps. In fact, at the Limited, I can even fit into a 6 (as long as I don't sit down:))
Has anyone ever experienced this? It's jsut so weird to me. According to my measurements I'm super fat, but in my appearance and weight and size I'm not!

My sister is 125 lbs and is 5 ' 7" and she has about a 34 inch waist too...the rest of her is skinny and she fits into a 5/6 or a 6. All her weight is in her middle.
