You are considered obese if your body mass index (BMI) is more than 30. People with normal weight would have a body mass index in the range of 18.5 to 24.9. Anything above this value up to the value of 29.9 is considered as overweight.

It is better to start working on reducing your weight when you are considered as overweight then wait until you become obese. The sooner you lose the weight the easier it will come off. What is the best way to gain weight a.s.a.p?

I'm 5'2" and about 100 lbs. In high school I was around 115 lbs and over the past few years in college I've lost some weight. I did not mean to and don't know why. I've been to the doctor so there isn't anything wrong with me. However, I am not happy with my weight - I don't think it is a healthy weight for someone my age (21) so I need to gain some weight a.s.a.p.

I've tried weight gainers from GNC, which help a bit but are expensive and only last a short time. I'm on a college student budget which isn't much so I can't afford to get a trainer at a fancy gym or buy a ton of groceries all the time.

If anybody has any advice or knows of anything that might help, I'd appreciate your feedback. Thanks.

Yup! im on the same page as you im 5'2 and 95 pounds and i just realized i lost weight and i hope to gain some back on. Except im 13 so my mom is making me, l0l. My mom said ice cream is a great way because it is high in calcium, protien, and has a lot calories. But gaining weight is just in how many calories you take in, so dont feel bad grabbing seconds at a meal, or snacking more. But eating protien will help. Just remember to keep it healthy so your not gaining weight by deep frying everything (which would deffininately gain weight fast if you get desperate)
