Pregnancy is the period when you have to keep your body healthy. Keeping the body healthy is done in order to get the maximum growing of the fetus. One of the ways to do it is doing exercise. However, there are some things that you have to pay attention related to the exercise that you do during your pregnancy.

When you want to have safe exercise during your pregnancy, you have to do some things related to this matter. When you want to start exercising, you have to start it slowly. For you who have done routine exercise before you are pregnant, you can continue your routine but you have to make adjustments as your pregnancy progresses.

In the other hands, for you who just start doing exercise in your pregnancy, you have to start it very slowly and do it very carefully. Start it with simple moves such as walking for 20 up to 30 minutes. After you get used to it, you can add the workout movements.

As the other exercises, you have to start and finish the exercise that you do by doing the stretching. This is done in order to get you away from soreness that you might feel. Another important thing that you have to do when you want to exercise during your pregnancy is your body condition. When you feel tired or your breath starts infrequent, you have to stop exercising. You have to take a rest until your breath becomes normal and you have to make sure that you do not do the exercise under very hot weather.

Additionally, do the exercise that does not train your down body. This is because it might make your back or pelvic area gets strain. This means that exercise during pregnancy is best to do when it trains the upper body and arms.

Those are some things that you have to consider related to the exercise during pregnancy. Make sure that you do all those things to get safety exercise so that you will be able to make your body healthy and fit. Therefore, your fetus will grow perfectly.

Since exercise is very good activity that people can do, it can be done by everybody. It will be far better when you do it regularly although you are pregnant. One of exercises that can be done by everybody is riding bicycle. If you want to do this, you might need one of exercise bicycles. By doing exercise bike workout, you will get healthy body that you expect.

When can I start my pre-pregnancy workout routine again?

Before I fell pregnant, I was quite active. I walked 40 minutes home from work on weekdays, went jogging and played basketball with my husband on Saturday mornings and did an 80 minute high-impact dance aerobics workout DVD at least 3 days a week.

During pregnancy I made a point of walking as much as I could and also did Davina McCall's Pre-Natal Workout DVD at least twice/thrice a week. Since my son was born 4 and a half months ago and I got the all-clear for exercise, I also walk with the pram and do Davina's Post-Pregnancy Workout DVD again at least three times a week.

My cousin has lent me three 'normal' workout DVDs which are quite high-impact. I don't want to push myself too hard and risk injuring myself, but I also want to get back into my normal activity level so I can burn all this baby weight off!!

When can I start introducing these new workouts/how often/etc. Any advice is greatly appreciated :)

That is a great question. I recommend asking on a fitness website. I use this one and have always gotten my answers really quickly. It's great because they have beginners and people who work out all the time. Hope it helps you!

Knee pain after Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred?

Almost 2 weeks ago I started doing Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred to lose the 35 pounds that I've gained during my pregnancy. About Day 5 or Day 6 of working out, I started to notice that I was experiencing some knee pain. I took a day off before working out again, but it's getting worse. The jumping jacks are so painful that I just can't keep up, and I've given up completely at doing the jump rope. I know my weight puts extra strain on my knees, but that's why I'm working out and doing weight watchers. I do not have access to a car and can't afford a gym membership or to buy my own elliptical. So what can I do to decrease the amount of pain I have in my knees while doing this particular workout? What do I need to do for my knees to recover? How can I build up strength in my knees? I am committed to losing the weight and am frustrated by this bump in the road. Please help!

Do something lower impact like walking an hour or two a day.
