The Venus Index is a fitness and nutrition plan created by John Barban and Brad Pilon. The goal of the program is not to get you to lose weight but rather to get you in the best shape of your life.
But what is the best shape for a woman? As written in the program, there are certain physical ratios in a woman's body which are considered most appealing. You want those ratios to be as close as possible to what is known as the Venus Index. A example of such a ratio is the shoulder width / Waist circumference ratio, but there are others.
This is a refreshing approach as you don't ever need to get on a scale. The concept is that by getting into the best shape you can be in, you will also get to a good body weight as a natural part of the process. In addition, while some people take their weight loss to extremes and end up looking thin and frail, the Venus Index strives to get you to look your best, knowing that you will most likely also be healthier as a result of it.
The Venus Index main part is the workouts that you do. This is a 12 week workout plan in which you reshape your body by burning body fat quickly and toning your muscles. The workouts are all made of a series of strength exercises that can be done at the gym or at home with minimal equipment. What does creatine do?
I plan on losing 30 pounds by April, and my friend said to take creatine, workout, and drink lots of water. What is creatine? What does it do? Can it be bought for people under 18? Is it recommended for women? Or what supplements should i use that can be bought for people under 18?
Creatine basically binds up the energy from carbohydrates and stores it in your muscles. That allows you to work out harder before your muscles fail.
I've never heard any medical concerns about it, other than I think it can make you kind of nauseated when you take it. (sort of like how you would feel if you ate too much sugar or too much salt).
I know it will make you bloat a bit when you first take it. The energy it stores binds to water. So you gain about 5 to 10 pounds of water weight within a couple of weeks.
